Biography

Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr Karen Ng received training in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Prince of Wales Hospital. She obtained her fellowship of the Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) in 2017. She received the OGS Trainee Research award and the corporate scholarship awarded by the Hospital Authority in 2019.  Thereafter, she developed a special interest in Reproductive Medicine and completed her subspecialty training in 2022.

Dr Karen Ng mainly focuses in helping patients with various infertility problems, with a special interest in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), reproductive endocrinology, sexual dysfunction, fertility preservation and congenital Mullerian anomaly. She currently runs a vaginal dilation service for women with coital dysfunction and vaginal agenesis (MRKH), and is part of the multidisciplinary team in management for disorders in sex development at the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital.

She also has a special interest in paediatric adolescent gynaecology and completed the International Fellowship Program for Paedatric and Adolescent Gynaecology (IFEPAG) by FIGIJ in 2019. She also underwent further training at the University Hospitals of Bristol NHS Trust, Liverpool Women’s Hospital and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
