Fellowship Programme Overview

This comprehensive 2-year sub-specialty programme integrates clinical management, surgical training, and academic research.

Fellows will acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills in PAG. Fellows will:

  • Be able to independently manage children and adolescents with complex gynaecological pathologies;
  • Engage in service organization and strategic development;
  • Participate in, and perform research, and deliver postgraduate education within the field.

Training Curriculum & Structure

The curriculum is designed to provide exposure across our tri-site network (Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, and Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital).

  • Clinical Rotations: exposure to DSD clinics, the management of Turner Syndrome, Pubertal Medicine, and Menstrual Disorders;
  • Surgical Training: Hands-on training in vaginal examination under anaesthesia, vaginoscopy, hysteroscopy, and assisting in complex congenital reconstructions.

Eligibility & Examination Pathways

After completing 2 years of clinical training, trainees are eligible to apply to the Federation Internationale de Gynecologie Infantile et Junvenile (FIGIJ) (International Federation of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology) to sit for the International Fellowship examination.

We offer two distinct entry pathways based on the applicant’s prior experience:

Pathway A: Medical Graduates

  • Requirement: Applicant must be a qualified medical graduate.
  • Examination Eligibility: Upon completion of the 2-year training, the trainee is eligible to sit for the IFEPAG Part I examination.

Pathway B: O&G Specialists / Trainees

  • Requirement: Applicant must have completed Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) training.
  • Examination Eligibility: Upon completion of the 2-year training, the trainee is eligible to sit for both IFEPAG Part I and Part II examinations.
