Biography

Dr. Wang was awarded B.Sc. from Sun Yat-sen University in 2014 and he got his Ph.D. degree at the University of Hong Kong in 2019. He then gained a 3-year post-doctoral training in the Department of Medicine, University of Hong Kong.
He is now working in our department as a Research Assistant Professor from 2022.

Research Interests

1) Biomarker discovery: to identify novel biomarkers for the prediction/diagnosis of gestational diseases;
2) Reproductive endocrinology: to investigate the role of hormones/cytokines in the development of pregnancy;
3) Gestational microbiome: to explore the role of the gut and vaginal microbiome for the onset of gestational disorders;
4) Lifestyle intervention during pregnancy: to improve the health of pregnant women with diet or exercise intervention.
