Welcome to the Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology (PAG) Team

Leading Developmental & Reproductive Health in Hong Kong

The Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology (PAG) Team is a specialized tertiary unit providing holistic care for the unique gynaecological needs of infants, children, and adolescents. We are an academic clinical team affiliated with The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), bridging the gap between paediatric medicine and adult gynaecology.

Our Mission & Philosophy

We recognize that children are not “small adults.” Our clinical philosophy is built on a developmental model of care that prioritizes physiological preservation, psychological well-being, and future reproductive potential. We aim to provide a safe, supportive environment where medical excellence meets sensitive, age-appropriate counselling.

Our Service Network

Our team operates across three key sites, maximizing geographical accessibility while centralizing complex care:

  • The Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH) – Service Headquarters: The primary base for our team, with inpatient wards and facilities for acute emergencies and major surgical interventions.
  • Hong Kong Children’s Hospital (HKCH) – Complex Ambulatory Hub: A strategic expansion of our service, HKCH serves as the centre for specialized multidisciplinary clinics, particularly for Differences of Sex Development (DSD) and complex congenital anomalies.
  • Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital (AHNH): Providing extended specialist consultation services to the wider community.

Academic Authority: Fellowship Training

We hold the distinction of being the sole accredited training centre for the International Fellowship in Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology in Hong Kong.

Our team offers a rigorous 2-year sub-specialty training programme. Graduates are eligible to sit for the International Fellowship Examination administered by the Federation Internationale de Gynecologie Infantile et Junvenile (FIGIJ). This accreditation underscores our commitment to setting the highest standards of clinical education and practice in the region.
