Since March 2025, our department has been offering High‑Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) as a non‑invasive treatment option for some patients with uterine fibroids. HIFU uses focused ultrasound energy to treat fibroids without surgery or skin incisions, which may help relieve symptoms while preserving the uterus. This treatment is performed using image guidance to ensure accuracy and safety. HIFU is not suitable for everyone, and patients are carefully evaluated by our specialist team. We take time to discuss treatment options, expected outcomes, and follow‑up care so patients can make informed decisions together with their doctors.
